Acrobot is an IRC bot fully written in Perl language.
Basicaly it is a minimalist kernel, acrobot.pl, that manage the connection, and some modules to add just the functionnalities you need.

Acrobot is also an IRC game bot that is coded by Steven Macintyre, in TCL and runs on the Lagnet IRC network (irc.lagnet.org.za) in #acro.
The game was based on a old game run on Undernet/Dalnet and which was run on Lagnet some years back. The original lagnet bot was coded in C as an Eggdrop module.
The concept of the Acro game is to create logical and valid phrases with the given letters from the bot, people then vote for the best acro and scores/points are then awarded. For more informaton see http://www.acrobot.org
