    xls2csv extracts data from [[Microsoft|MS]] [[Excel]] spreadsheets and outputs it in comma-separated-value format.
    A command-line utility that converts [[Microsoft|MS]] [[Excel]] .xls files to [[CSV]] (comma-seperated-values) .csv files.


    It is included in the [[catdoc]] package. (''apt-get install catdoc'' under [[Debian]]).
    xls2csv is part of the [[catdoc]] package. (catdoc - MS-[[Word]] to [[TeX]] or plain text converter)


    Usage:
    xls2csv [-xlV] [-g number] [-f date-format] [-b string] [-s charset] [-d charset] [-c char] [ -q number] files
