Additions to be put at the top of this page please (saves scrolling down)

oki seems lie a good idear to me i tempo locked this page... --DrOwl 16:05, 8 Mar 2005 (CET)

continue Internal in the Forum please. MattisManzel 15:43, 8 Mar 2005 (CET)

Maybe we should think of either moving 'Internal' to Current events or making the 'Current events' link in the Navigation a redirect to Internal or exchange the link title there or define some kind of seperation what belongs into which page. Maybe we need both, but what is for what then?

Image Thumbnails now work. Installed "imagemagick" on th server. Use wiki syntax like . mutante 01:56, 6 Mar 2005 (CET)

Repaired the RSS feed. There were blank lines/spaces somewhere that broke the XML syntax. Will now try to get an update on the jabber rss server of MiGri now. Then you can get our recent changes in your Jabber clients again. mutante 01:21, 6 Mar 2005 (CET)

RSS Feed doesnt validate yet. Trying to fix... mutante 01:30, 6 Mar 2005 (CET)

23:35 5 (5 changes; Page history) [mutante (5×)] content "All things happen in Fives,..." A nice Syncronicity eh ? ;) ok,i admit i kinda pushed it a bit ,hehe mutante 23:37, 5 Mar 2005 (CET)

is there some way we can change the RSS feed for the recentchanges to not include minor edits, i know we can change own own preffs, but that does not seem to have an effect on the rss feed i tried is-root.de/wiki/index.php?title=Special:Recentchanges&hideminor=1&feed=rss&limit=23" but i still get the standard rss feed. --DrOwl 14:08, 1 Mar 2005 (CET) also there is no rss link in the header so FF isnt showing the pritty icon =) maybe we can get it added?

    Recent Changes for "sub-wikis":

Here we go with a first simple RecentChanges page for the TingWiki. On our way towards hiving, Mattis! ;) mutante 01:25, 1 Mar 2005 (CET)

Good news for Mattis: I already found out the right mysql statement to get a sub-RC page for ting (or other wikis), picking by page name comes out to be a lot easier then doing it by categories so far. But seems to be no problem to me , since subwikis will always be under their Homepage. mutante 23:48, 28 Feb 2005 (CET)

select rc_id,rc_title from recentchanges where rc_title like "Ting%"; (for my own near future use)

    Usage of templates:

    Holy Chao!
    Holy Chao!

This is an example template to show you the use of templates. You can put this bit of wiki code everywhere by simply inserting Example. You can edit the template on Template:Example and you could make new templates by just opening a new Template:Fnord page.

check the source of this and be surprised. mutante 22:17, 28 Feb 2005 (CET)

Now we focus on Special:Deadendpages which are pages that dont have any internal links. Kunda 12:22, 27 Feb 2005 (CET)

On the existence of sub-categories to organize categories:

<mutante> are there just ies or also subcategories like  ?

<brion> mutante: there's nothing inherently special about a / in the name, but you could name categories like that.

<dammit`> mutante: you may set a category for another category, this way you do some kind of sub..

    mutante 10:30, 27 Feb 2005 (CET)

    Finished categorizing all pages! :)

Got the RC-IRC-Bot working after a few problems in the beginning (path to mysql sock, wikidb user, needed to apply "rc_id"-patch. TimStarling helped on IRC. Now we got the bot sitting in #wiki on Efnet. Join there and make an update here and you will see. :) mutante 12:13, 26 Feb 2005 (CET)

Added Wanted pages link to toolbox by request. Afraid an unclean hack though. (as always ;) mutante 10:14, 26 Feb 2005 (CET)

mutante, can we add a 'Wanted pages' link to the navigation or toolbox or as a link to the accompanying table of teh wiki template page? I seems to be a good idea to me. "Discuss amongst yourselves" Kunda 11:55, 22 Feb 2005 (CET)

Arf, that spammer was here again. Adding another string to wgSpamregex made it break. it didnt prevent that content, but now fixed. mutante 09:17, 17 Feb 2005 (CET)

Spam protection filter found & enabled. The first string i blocked is "p i l l s b o o k.com" (see the according spam in RC. and it works, try posting it into any page without the spaces, will be blocked;)-checked. Works. mm 80.135.198.2 18:06, 14 Feb 2005 (CET) .

wiki.s23.org now redirects everything to the new wiki. (perl http header redirect). since it tries to redirect to the right wiki page, we should leave (major) CamelCase redirects intact (move the page, but dont delete redirect).

Since the redirect we got all the traffic here and we can also welcome the first spammer who has been blocked right away.

S23Wiki:Block log (diff; hist) . . mutante (Talk) (blocked "62.252.192.6" with an expiry time of 23 days: spammer)

Imported complete content from the discontinued german drogenwiki !, we have about 350 new pages with information about drugs in german at once and we keep the information alive.

Had to fiddle with usemod import script and move a few pages in subpages, but seems to work now (even umlauts, which i replaced semi-automatic in a text editor in the sql file BEFORE importing it this time. mutante

Lets think of the best way to merge InterWiki and InterMap into one big working interwiki page with a name that is also used by most other wikis. (and/or leave redirects in this case) mutante 11:17, 12 Feb 2005 (CET)

Check out the the usage of categories on the wiki to give some structure. mutante 22:22, 10 Feb 2005 (CET) (ill always just sign with four tildes, instead of making that timestamp, creates time automatically, quick and nice,ok?)

050209 Crap! I forgot to look at this page! I'm adding it to my 'Watch' list right now. Sorry mutante :( ..deleting the redirects, actually thanks to Mattis, he was the one that told me on the chan to not delete the CC pages.

    Also,

    1. Disambigous Pages in Special:Maintenance is broken.
    2. Where is the spam related stuff for this wiki, we still waiting for the upgrade?

Btw this wiki engine is fucking wicked! if i haven't mentioned that enough times yet. Kunda 13:48, 9 Feb 2005 (CET)

060207 Did you notice the css and logo changes? still working on it of course..you can select different skins in preferences, by the way. mutante 23:02, 7 Feb 2005 (CET)

060206 ah, this is very useful, you dont have to use the long syntax like mutante to display your username everytime you sign a comment:

you can simply sign with tildes (when logged in):

    three tildes ~~~ produces mutante.

four tildes ~~~~ produce mutante 23:42, 6 Feb 2005 (CET)

    five tildes ~~~~~ produce 23:42, 6 Feb 2005 (CET)

    found here

060205 "substituting CamelCase for Camel_Case" hmmm, not quite sure, first lets do all the single word camel cases. For two word pages in seems still ok (might change our view on this once we got the rest cleaned up.) Notice that every moved page produces an extra redirect old page in the list of all pages. You can also help by finding single [ bracket ] wiki links and change them to links. And enabled image file upload, by the way. (check [extended image syntax] Kunda, i see you have been deleting the old CamelCase redirects, that made me think that we maybe need to keep some of them because other pages (and google) is linking to them and we dont want to break all those old URLs...hmm..

    --mutante

060205 If you are helping with the migration from CamelCase to freelinks..here is a tip: Use the "What links here" function in the footer. Helps to fix broken internal-wiki links --Kunda

050205 I was just wanting to get a bit more organized as to how we are linking things in the wiki? We are moving from CamelCasing as i understood..So i've been substituting CamelCase for Camel_Case..is that ok? or are their different views out there? Kunda

/me sacrifices virgins to mutante --kunda

    Good Morning!

    Database errors fixed.!

Had MySQL "error 145". The table "old" had crashed.

Used "check table old;" and "repair table old;" and it works again.!

Now you can edit pages and the wiki is functional ;))
