Arthur Dent seems to be having trouble with his lifestyle.
One morning, he woke up with a hangover to discover his house being demolished. As he lay in front of the bulldozers, his friend Ford Prefect took him to the pub and revealed that he was an alien.
Shortly after this, his native planet was destroyed to make way for a hyperspace bypass.
