F(abi): Moin!

ma: Moin Fabi.
There is no topic and it is badly organized, maybe. Maybe this whole ting stuff is pretty egoistic. Maybe it is creating a writing sourrounding for me. The sheer possibility that someone can immediately read every letter I type, correct, comment change erase simply turns me on.

.oO(At least it is quiet... ;)

F: I thought about machine code blocks (MCB) and RDF a bit. (Lion and me had a longer ME session about MCB)

ma: Here on machinecodeblocks on is-root.de. Didn't read it yet, 105 KB that's long

F: We moved the stuff to the MoinMoin wiki.

ma: no svsavetxt yet ;)

F: The diff is not really comfortable in ME. And no friendly RC list.

ma: Tom wrote something to sort it by date, name and size, dunno where that is lost.
Did you look at gobby and chalks? How long will it take til simple persons like me can use it (without computer science studies to install it)

F: No idea. gooby won't run on windows easily soon as it depends on GTK. I didn't have a deeper look into chalks. but IIRC it is in a quite early stage.

ma: :(!!

bpt: mattis, what's Chalks?

ma: hi, another free and open collab editor project.

http://emacswiki.org/cw/collaborative_editor

chalks is based on the microsoft.net platform, does that mean good or bad?

F: I would prefere Python...

bpt: not necessarily bad but there are patent/intellectual property issues with microsoft.net

ma: I can't really do much than steam and translate a manual if ready, right? How to foster the developement of a free and open collab editor? I do not even know (nor feel) that the folks developing want help (Gooby seems to a bit more). I'm a bit shy to approach the projects as I do literarily know nothing about software project developement. Do you know someone capable who might be intereted to help on them? Are there other similar attempts?
I need an open collab-editor to go on. XW, extreme wiki'ing. MoonEdit feels like a stinking cheese sometimes closed and excluding mac users. That's not cool.
Just imagine article-tings for wikipedia-articles. Just for half a second. That's already enough.

K, nice ting, thanks. I'm gonna make the node-wiki-for-political-wikis now against the late evening bore (rather than trying to land a B-29 on an aircraft carrier in a flight simulator). Cu on sunday when Lion's around.

Fabi goes to bed. n8!
